The Riverdale Mission

 Season Dates: November 17, 2026 through February 20, 2027

Key points of the job description for a Coach:

• High ethical and professional standards.
• Direct a successful program and oversee all facets of a community-wide youth program.
• Be a role model for student-athletes.
• Cooperate with other school-sponsored sports by encouraging student-athletes to compete in other programs.
• Develop and implement an off-season program.
• Lead student-athletes in the support of other Riverdale School District athletics and activities.

The Coach will be responsible for the following:

• Manage all aspects of the program, including training, practice schedules, and routines.
• Hire and oversee assistant coaches as needed.
• Communicate regularly with parents/families.
• Track the academic progress of all student-athletes in the program and facilitate necessary support to ensure their academic eligibility.
• Cooperate with other school-sponsored sports and encourage athletes to compete in other programs.
• Develop and implement an off-season athletic program.

All coaches will need to complete the following prior to employment:

1. Complete OSAA Coaching Certifications
2. NFHS/ASEP Certification
3. First Aid Card (CPR and AED trained)
4. District Fingerprinting/Criminal Check
5. Additional training as required
